BuildingConnected is an Autodesk product covering the inbound subcontractor-bid workflow for general contractors. It maintains a national network of subcontractors and provides tools for bid invitations, response capture, and bid leveling. BuildingConnected Pro is sold inside the Autodesk Construction Cloud, with TradeTapp available as a separate module for subcontractor prequalification.

Where it sits in the bid workflow
BuildingConnected operates at the subcontractor-solicitation stage of the bid workflow. A general contractor working on a solicitation uses it to identify candidate subcontractors, send invitations, host plans and specs for sub access, and collect responses. The network model is one of its distinguishing features: the same subcontractor account can receive invitations from multiple general contractors using the platform.
BuildingConnected was acquired by Autodesk in 2018 and is integrated into the Autodesk Construction Cloud suite, where it pairs with TradeTapp for prequalification.
